A Great Day Out For All The Family

Come and experience a trip back in time, to the home of the National Tramway Museum, at Crich Tramway Village, which is suitable for all ages.

Vintage trams transport you along the period street into open countryside with breathtaking views of the Derwent Valley, and you can take as many electric tram rides as you wish during the day.

Exhibitions include the Arms to Armistice exhibition, detailing the challenges faced by women whilst working on the trams during the First World War; the Century of Tram’s exhibition, showing the development from 1860s horse-drawn trams to the electric era up to the 1960s and you can discover more about life during the early de of transport in George Stephenson’s Discovery Centre.

There are children’s play areas, plus a tearoom, pub, sweet shop, and gift shop, as well as a Workshop Viewing Gallery, where you can watch a team of experts restoring the trams.

There is free parking and special rates apply for groups of ten or more.

The event days are really enjoyable! Take a look at this video to get a feel for them.
