A Great Day Out For All The Family

Indeed, you should come and experience a trip back in time, to the home of the National Tramway Museum. Located at Crich Tramway Village, in Crich, Derbyshire. Suitable for all the family and an excellent day out.

Vintage trams transport you along the period street into open countryside with breathtaking views of the Derwent Valley. Also, you can take as many electric tram rides as you wish during the day.

Exhibitions include the Arms to Armistice exhibition, detailing the challenges faced by women whilst working on the trams during the First World War; the Century of Tram’s exhibition, showing the development from 1860s horse-drawn trams to the electric era up to the 1960s and you can discover more about life during the early development of transport in George Stephenson’s Discovery Centre. However, some of these exhibitions may be affected by the current Covid Pandemic. So, please check the Crich Tramway Village website first.

There are children’s play areas, plus a tearoom, pub, sweet shop, and gift shop, as well as a Workshop Viewing Gallery, where you can watch a team of experts restoring the trams.

There is free parking and special rates apply for groups of ten or more.
