Chapel-en-le-Frith Morris Dancers

We dance because we’re happy; we’re happy because we dance

probably the most hyphenated Morris side in the world

Chapel-en-le-Frith Morris started out in 1975 and have been dancing in their distinctive yellow and green costumes ever since. They are based at Chapel-En-Le-Frith in the Peak District. Unfortunately, due to the Covid virus restrictions, they haven’t been on the scene for quite a while.

However, under normal conditions, you can find them dancing in Derbyshire and other counties too. They can often be seen dancing outside pubs through Derbyshire. Keep an eye on their website diary for details.

If you feel like giving it a try and you live locally, practice sessions are held at the Playhouse in Chapel-en-le-frith on Monday evenings (check website).

Because the practice sessions can’t currently run, maybe give it a try on a virtual practice. It will keep you fit and it will probably put a smile on your face.

You can keep an eye on their activities by checking out the social media links. Also take a look at the YouTube channel to see their past events.
