It has to be said, the keyword here is Action. Rural Action Derbyshire makes big strides in improving the lives of people in Derbyshire.

They have been around for a while and in 2024 Rural Action Derbyshire will be celebrating their 100th anniversary. Meanwhile, they continue to focus on their good work focusing on the following issues:

  • Corona Virus
    Providing information on how to adapt to living with the Corona Pandemic. Also, find some useful Government links for information by sector.
  • Community Oil Buying Scheme
    A scheme to save money for businesses and homes throughout Derbyshire county.
  • Community & Village Halls
    The provision of specialist support, information and advice to village and community halls across Derbyshire
  • Feeding Derbyshire
    Supporting local food poverty concerns with the combined resources of the public, private and voluntary sectors.
  • Rural Chaplain Service
    Providing support for the rural and farming community.
  • Neighbourhood Planning
    Here you can let others know how you feel about where new homes and businesses will go. Also, what new buildings you’d like to see added to your community.
  • Suicide Awareness
    Breaking down the barriers and stigma that seem to align themselves with issues of suicide and self-harm. How you can help!
  • Wheels To Work
    Providing mopeds and bicycles to help people access work, training or education.
