The Devonshire Arms At Beeley
The Devonshire Arms is located in the quaint little village of Beeley in Derbyshire. It sits in a quiet corner of the Chatsworth Estate. It makes it a great place to have lunch before setting off to see the local attractions. Chatsworth House is just a short away. However, on a nice summers day, you may just want to stay awhile and enjoy the peace and quiet.
The Inn was once three separate cottages and in 1747 was converted into one. It’s the only remaining Inn left of the three that were originally located in Beeley. Coaches used to carry visitors from London and the Peaks and used this as a place to rest their horses en-route.
The Brasserie is a comfortable, bright and spacious dining area. The moment you enter the room you’ll feel at ease with the ambience of the space and its decor. Additionally, you will be welcomed by a member of the staff who are relaxed and professional in their approach.
The Garden Terrace is where you can relax on a summers day. Enjoy the fresh air whilst you dine and if the temperature drops a little you’ve no need to worry as there are heaters to keep you warm. Plenty of seating available whilst you enjoy the sounds of the babbling brook.
The Inn is also a place where you can enjoy good food. You can also enjoy a local brew of craft ale or fine wine. A cosy place to be on a winter’s evening with its wood-burning stove.
There are sample menu’s available on their website which are well worth looking at. Whatever, you choose you will certainly be impressed with the experience. The presentation of the meals will wow you and when you savour the food . . . We’ll let you decide.
Always book in advance!
If you would like to stay in the area for a while then the Devonshire Arms can provide you with fine accommodation. Please see the website for details.
